BIMLS (Burdwan Institute of Medical & Life Sciences) was set up in the year 2001 as a joint venture between the University of Burdwan and Burdwan Institute of Management and Computer Science, It is affiliated West Bengal University of Health Sciences. professionals in different fields coming together to espouse a noble cause of providing quality education in the field of physiotherapy. It is a pioneer institution to introduce 4 ½ years Bachelor of Physiotherapy program in West Bengal. The completion of the bachelor’s degree course in physiotherapy opens up multiple avenues for further studies. The undergraduates are eligible for Master in Physiotherapy in India and in abroad countries like UK, Australia and New Zealand. They are also eligible to Doctorate in Physiotherapy in USA, India and other countries. Students can also pursue studies in varied streams like M.Sc., MBA, Postgraduate diploma in Sports Science, Hospital Administration.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was established in 1962 by the Government of West Bengal in the exercise of the powers conferred under article 162 of the Constitution of India in pursuant to No. 828-Edn(T), dated 02.03.1962. Subsequently, the Board was recognized as a Statutory Body vide West Bengal Act XIV of 2014 and was authorized for conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) in respect to admission to various institutions in West Bengal imparting education in Medical, Engineering, and Technological courses. The Board is also empowered to conduct Common Entrance Examinations for admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Professional and Vocational Courses both in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate level.

The Examination: For the academic session of 2022-23, Examination JENPAS(UG)-2022 and counselling for admission in various Colleges/ Institutes in the State of West Bengal for the academic session 2022-23 into the following Undergraduate Courses.
Syllabus of Examination: The tests will be based on 11th and 12th standard syllabi of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education and other equivalent and recognised Board/Council.
The pattern of Question Paper:-

Each paper will contain fifty (50) questions. All questions will be of Multiple- Choice Question (MCQ) type, with four answer options. Time for each paper is 2 hours. The questions will be in both English and Bengali language. |
Scoring Methodology:-
a) All questions will have four answer options
b) Only one option is correct.
c) Correct response will yield 2 (two) marks.
d) Incorrect response will yield -1/2 (25% negative) marks.
e) For any combination of responses with more than one option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -1/2 (25% negative) marks
f) Not attempting the question will fetch a zero mark
