Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam College of Physiotherapy was established in 1997, originally known as the College of Physiotherapy. It is approved by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) and the Maharashtra State Council for Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy. The college was initially affiliated with the University of Pune and later with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nasik, from 1998 to 2003. It continues to maintain its affiliation with MUHS, offering quality education and training in physiotherapy. The college boasts a well-developed infrastructure that includes modern lecture halls equipped with audio-visual aids, fully functional laboratories for anatomy, physiology, and exercise therapy, as well as an advanced physiotherapy clinic for hands-on clinical training. A well-stocked library, computer facilities, and access to e-learning resources support academic growth. The campus also provides amenities such as hostels, recreational areas, and sports facilities to ensure a holistic learning environment.

BPT | The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination, i.e., the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or an equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects. Additionally, the candidate must appear for the All India Common Entrance Test (AICET) conducted by the University and obtain a minimum of 50% marks. Admission will be granted strictly on the basis of merit determined by performance in the entrance examination. |
MPT | Candidates who have completed their six-month compulsory rotating internship or are likely to complete it on or before 31st July are eligible to appear for the All India Common Entrance Test (AICET). Such candidates must submit documentary proof from the Principal or Dean of their college confirming the expected date of internship completion along with the application form; failing to do so will lead to rejection of the application. Additionally, the candidate must have permanent registration with the IAP or any State Council. If not already registered, the candidate must obtain the registration within one month from the date of admission. To be eligible for admission, the candidate must appear for the AICET conducted by the University and secure a minimum of 50% marks. However, the final admission will be granted strictly on the basis of merit in the entrance examination. |
