IMT Physiotherapy College, established in 1990 in Puri, Odisha, is affiliated with Utkal University and recognized by the Government of Odisha, a reputed institution offering a 4½-year Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program, which includes a six-month internship. The course focuses on rehabilitative medicine, using physical therapy, exercises, and electro-physical modalities to treat injuries, deformities, and diseases. It equips students with essential skills in diagnosis, assessment, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises. Combined Paramedical Counseling Approved by the Department of Health & Family Welfare Government of Odisha

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into various Para Medical and Allied Medical Science courses offered by Government and Government-approved Private Institutions in the State. All updates regarding counseling and admission will be available exclusively on the official website of DMET Odisha (www.dmetodisha.gov.in). Candidates seeking admission to Master’s Degree courses must apply directly to State Government-approved institutions through offline mode. These institutions will conduct counseling for eligible candidates, upload the candidate data on the Combined Paramedical Counseling Portal, and submit the verified original documents for approval by the Convener, Selection Committee, as per the specified schedule. The eligibility criteria for these courses are outlined below.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Eligible candidates must apply online at www.dmetodisha.gov.in and pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹600/- per course via State Bank Collect [Odisha/Govt Department / Combined Paramedical Counseling, DMET Odisha/Counseling Fee].

Candidates must attend document verification as per the schedule notified on the website, bringing:

  1. Printout of the online application,
  2. Copy of bank transaction receipt,
  3. Photocopies of required documents, and
  4. Original documents for verification.

After verification, a merit list will be published online. Further updates will also be notified on the website.

Note: Providing false information or concealing facts will lead to rejection of the application and disciplinary/legal action.

Important: Candidates must be physically present for document verification, counseling, and choice filling. No proxy/authorization will be accepted.

Choice Filling and Admission: Candidates must lock their subject and institution choices online within the scheduled time. Allotments will be based on merit.
Candidates can download the allotment-cum-admission letter and must personally report to the Convener with the required admission fees. The mode of fee payment will be notified separately.

At the time of provisional admission, candidates must submit their original College Leaving Certificate/School Leaving Certificate and will receive a provisional admission letter. Finally, they must report to the allotted institution within the stipulated time with a copy of the provisional admission letter to complete the admission process.

SELECTION PROCEDURE: The merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks secured by candidates. Seat allotment will be done online based on merit and the candidates' choices. The allotment list will be published on the DMET Odisha website (www.dmetodisha.gov.in).

  • If seats remain vacant after counseling, the Convener may conduct spot counseling. Physical presence of the candidate is mandatory for participating in spot counseling. The process will be as follows:
  • Candidates must submit their original College Leaving Certificate (CLC) and pay the admission fee at the time of spot counseling. Without these, admission will not be granted, and the seat will be offered to the next candidate in merit. Details for fee payment will be notified by the Convener.
  • Candidates who have already been admitted in earlier rounds must pay or be refunded any difference in fees if they change from a government to a private college or vice versa.
  • Unfilled reserved category seats will be filled by General category candidates.
  • Once admitted through spot counseling, candidates cannot change their seat/subject. However, they may resign from the seat by submitting a resignation letter to the concerned Principal before the deadline notified by the Convener.
  • Schedules for counseling rounds, choice locking, provisional admission, reporting, etc., will be published by the Convener on the DMET Odisha website. Candidates must regularly check the website for updates.
  • The Selection Committee will conduct counseling for all seats in Government institutions and for 85% of seats in private institutions. The remaining 15% of seats in private institutions will be filled by the institutions under their management quota.
  • If any State Quota seat in private institutions remains vacant after counseling, it will be surrendered to the institution and filled at their level. Institutions must:
  • Make an online entry of students admitted under the management quota.
  • Inform the Convener of the admissions within one month of state counseling completion.
  • Submit all admission documents to the Convener for verification.
  • Deposit an application fee of ₹600/- per candidate through SB Collect. No further admissions will be allowed after the final deadline.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR VERIFICATION: Submit original certificates with self-attested photocopies (both sides) for verification:

  1. H.S.C. Pass Certificate with M.I.L. and DOB mentioned. If DOB/subjects are missing, include Admit Card/Mark Sheet. Other age proofs are not accepted.
  2. Qualifying Exam Pass Certificate showing subjects studied.
  3. Qualifying Exam Marksheet.
  4. Conduct Certificate from last attended college/gazetted officer (issued within 6 months).
  5. Caste/Tribe Certificate from competent authority.
  6. Physically Handicapped Certificate issued online by SSPED Dept., Govt. of Odisha.
    (Certificates from other sources will not be accepted.)
  7. Green Card (all pages) issued by CDM & PHO. Name, father’s name, and DOB must match H.S.C. record. Green Card must not have been previously used.
  8. Defence Category Certificate from Station Commander/Officer-in-Charge or Zilla/Rajya Sainik Board.
  9. Residential/Nativity Certificate (issued within 5 years) or Service Certificate of parent/spouse.
    (If unavailable, H.S.C. certificate with local school address will be considered.)
  10. Application Fee Payment Receipt (Online Bank deposit slip).
