For admission to first year of professional graduate level courses such as Physiotherapy, Para Medical Graduate Courses of Occupational Therapy Colleges/Public Health Institutes; B.Sc. (Nursing) Course of B.Sc. (Nursing) Colleges, Pharmacy, Agricultural Science, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries Science and other courses of similar nature and for admission to universities, colleges and institutions of the State where nomination of the State Government is required, selection for such nomination will be on the basis of merit-cum-choice from the merit list prepared from the result of Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Exam-2025, which will be conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board constituted by the Government of Bihar.
Note: Admissions to physiotherapy (BPT) courses are being brought under the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The Minister for Medical Education has announced that NEET will be made mandatory for BPT admissions across India from the academic year 2026-27
Eligibility Criteria:
BPT- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program, candidates must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects, securing at least 45%–50% aggregate marks as per institutional norms. Applicants should be a minimum of 17 years of age at the time of admission, and some colleges may require qualification in national, state, or institute-level entrance examinations. Students appearing in the 10+2 exam may also apply, provided they meet all criteria during admission.
Reservation / Reservation Category: For selection and seat allotment based on the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE)-2025, the reservation rules and policies enforced by the Government of Bihar up to the date of commencement of the online application process will be strictly followed. Applicants who are permanent residents of Bihar will receive category-wise reservation benefits as per the reservation policy applicable on the date the online application process begins, and these rules will be implemented for admissions in all participating institutes.

Application Form, Prospectus and Examination Fee: Candidates appearing for BCECE-2025 can download the prospectus from the Board’s official website, bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. To submit the online application, they must visit the website, open the “Online Application Portal of BCECE-2025,” and click on the “Apply Online for BCECE-2025” option. The detailed instructions for filling out the application form will then be displayed, and candidates are advised to read and understand them carefully before proceeding.
After this, the candidate should read and understand the instructions carefully for filling the application form:
i. Step-One (Registration): For registration, candidates must accurately fill in all required details in the Step-One application form displayed on the screen. While registering, they must use only their own or their parent’s email address and mobile number, as all communication from the Board will be sent to these contacts. Separate verification codes will be sent to the provided mobile number and email address, which candidates must enter to complete the verification process. Once verified, the mobile number and email address cannot be changed under any circumstances during the entire session. After successful registration, a confirmation message containing the Registration Number will be sent to the registered mobile number and email address. Candidates must then log in using their Registration Number and the password created during registration to complete the remaining steps of the online application. The password should be kept strictly confidential, as the Board will not be responsible for any issues arising from its misuse.
ii. Step-Two (Multi-Step Application Form):
iii. Step-Three (Application Preview & Final Submit): Candidates must carefully review all information entered in Step One and Step Two. If any detail is found incorrect during verification, they should select the “Back to Edit” option, make the necessary corrections, and click “Save & Continue” to update the information. After previewing the application and ensuring all details are accurate, candidates must provide the required declaration and click on “Final Submit & Proceed to Payment” to complete the examination counselling fee payment as outlined in Step Four. If the candidate submits the final application data but fails to pay the counselling fee, the application will be treated as incomplete and will be rejected.
iv. Step-Four (Payment of Examination / Counselling Fee) : After previewing and submitting all the entries submitted by the candidate, click the Payment of Examination/Counselling Fee button and complete the payment process as directed on the computer screen. The examination counselling fee deposited will not be refunded.
Note : If the Examination/Counseling Fee payment has been deducted from your account but the fee payment has failed, you must repay the required fee. If you do not repay the Examination/Counseling Fee by the due date, your application will remain incomplete and you will no longer be eligible for this Examination/Counseling. The amount of failed payment from bank account will be automatically refunded to your account.
v. Step-Five (Download Confirmation Page): After making the payment by the date and time fixed by the Board, the candidate should download and print the Confirmation Page of the application form filled by him/her and keep it safe with him/her because it will contain all the entries filled by you and the Registration No. provided by the Board, which can be used by you at the time of counselling or in future.

It is mandatory to follow these specifications. Use of digitally altered photos or those that may fade over time is strictly prohibited. The photograph must not be overexposed, underexposed, or too dark. Wearing caps, dark or tinted glasses, or any item that obscures identity is not allowed. After affixing the printed photograph on the downloaded application form, the candidate must sign in full—both in Hindi and English at the designated space. |
| iii. | Name and Address: Candidates must write their name and father's name in the designated fields of the application form and all attached documents exactly as they appear in the records of the Secondary Examination Board or equivalent institution. The permanent address provided should match the one mentioned in the applicant's residential certificate. |
| iv. | Reservation Category: The reservation category indicated by the applicant in the designated section of the online application form will be considered final for the purpose of examination and seat allotment. Once the application is submitted and accepted, no changes to the reservation category will be permitted. If an applicant fails to provide the required certificate supporting the claimed reservation category during counselling, or does not mention the reservation category in the specified field, they will be treated as belonging to the General (Unreserved - UR) category. The applicant will bear full responsibility for any loss of claim arising from errors, omissions, or negligence in this regard. |
| v. | Father/Guardian Details: Enter the name of the father or, if the father is deceased, the name of the legal guardian, along with their occupation and the name of the institution where they are employed. For example, if the father/guardian is employed in government service at MIT, Muzaffarpur (a State Government institution), you should write 'Government Service' as the occupation and 'MIT, Muzaffarpur' as the place of employment. Additionally, if providing the name of a guardian, you must specify your relationship to the guardian. |
| vi. | Date of Birth: Enter the date, month, and year of birth sequentially in English numerals, as per the English calendar. The date of birth must exactly match the one recorded in the Secondary Examination (Matriculation) or equivalent 10th standard certificate. |
| vii. | Residential Details : Provide accurate residential details in the application form. To be eligible for admission through the Joint Entrance Competitive Examination, applicants must confirm and select one of the valid options listed under the residential criteria. |
| viii. | Announcement: Applicants must write their declaration in their own handwriting and sign it in the designated space on the downloaded application form. The use of capital letters for the declaration and signature is prohibited. |
| IX. | Caste Certificate: Applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), or Backward Classes must present a valid caste certificate issued by a competent authority during the counselling process. The caste specified in the certificate must exactly match the reservation category selected in the applicant’s application form. |
| X. | Receipt of Admit Card: Admit cards for all eligible candidates will be available on the Board’s official website: bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. Applicants must produce all original certificates relevant to them, as specified on pages 1 and 2 of this brochure, at the time of interview or counselling. The School/College Leaving Certificate must be submitted at the time of admission. |
After the Joint Entrance Competitive Examination: After the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination, candidates will be invited for interview and counselling based on their position in the respective merit list. The date, time, and venue of the counselling will be announced on the BCECE Board’s official website: bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. During counselling, each candidate will have the opportunity to select an institution and course of their choice from the available options, based on the merit-cum-choice principle. Seat allotments will be made according to available vacancies and the reservation rules of the Government of Bihar, as applicable on the date of commencement of the application process. For the purpose of admission under reserved categories, each institute will be treated as a separate unit. Candidates who have been allotted a seat based on their choice and either do not take admission or withdraw after admission will not be eligible for re-allotment to the same institute/course in subsequent rounds of counselling. Only after verification of original documents and identity, candidates deemed finally eligible will be required to undergo a medical examination by the date specified in the allotment order. Upon being declared medically fit, they must proceed with admission to the allotted institute and course. Failure to comply with any of these conditions may result in disqualification from the admission process.
Merit List: Separate merit lists will be prepared for the PCM and PCB groups based on the aggregate marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB), respectively. Additionally, distinct merit lists will be created for candidates in the Agriculture Group based on various subject combinations, including: Chemistry, Biology, and Agricultural Science; Physics, Chemistry, and Agricultural Science; Mathematics, Biology, and Agricultural Science; and Mathematics, Chemistry, and Agricultural Science.
