As per the Tamil Nadu Act No 3 of 2007, dt 05.03.2007 and G.O(Ms) No.77 HE(J2) Dept.dt:05.04.2007, the marks obtained by the students in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by various Boards or Authority shall be equated with the marks obtained by the students in the same subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by the State Board (Government of Tamil Nadu) by adopting the method of normalization. Under the method of normalization, the highest mark obtained by the students of various Boards in each subject will be equated to the highest mark obtained by the students of State Board in that subject and the relative marks obtained by other students in that subject will be determined accordingly.

If the highest marks secured by the student of State Board in Physics is 100 and the highest mark secured by a student of any other Board in the same subject is 90, both the highest marks will be considered to be equal to 100. If a student of the other Board secures 60 marks in Physics when the first mark in Physics in the same Board is 90, then 60 marks will be considered to be equal to 66.66 marks as arrived at below:- 100X60/90= 66.66% |
NOTE:- After normalization of marks in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by different Boards, the qualified students of different Boards will be merged into a common merit list. In case of candidates who have qualified from National Boards such as CBSE and ISCE, the highest marks obtained by the candidates at the National Level alone will be taken into consideration for normalization. |

In cases where two or more candidates obtain equal aggregate for 200, the rank of such candidates shall be determined on the basis of the following order namely:- i) Percentage in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together in Higher Secondary Course Examination. ii) Percentage in Chemistry in Higher Secondary Course examination. iii) Percentage in Physics in Higher Secondary Course examination. iv) Percentage in Fourth Optional subject in Higher Secondary Course Examination. v) Date of Birth – Weightage given to seniority in age. vi) Computerized Random number assigned. A higher value of random numbers will be taken into consideration. |

1. Candidate should be citizen of India.
2. Candidates who are claiming Nativity of Tamil Nadu should upload their certificate of Nativity of Tamil Nadu issued by the competent authority of the revenue Department of Tamil Nadu with official seal.
3. Candidates should possess a B.P.T. Degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University or any other University recognized as Equivalent thereto by the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University / Physiotherapy Council. Candidates who have qualified from other Universities should submit the Eligibility Certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Guindy, Chennai-32 at the time of admission.
4. Candidates should have obtained not less than 50% of the total marks obtained in all semesters taken together in the B.P.T. Degree course. In case of failure (s) the pass marks in the subsequent attempt(s) shall be taken for calculation purpose. Number of attempts is not considered for calculation of marks.
5. A candidate who have already completed or acquired a Postgraduate Degree in any Branch in M.P.T. course or is undergoing M.P.T. Course in any Branch are ineligible to apply for any other specialty in M.P.T course.
1. Candidates should upload the necessary enclosures while submitting the online application.
2. Recent passport size photograph to be uploaded in the application form.
3. The candidates should fill the online Application form carefully.
4. A candidate should submit only ONE online application form.
5. The Government Orders issued and to be issued from time to time pertaining to any of the matters contained in the prospectus should be read as part and parcel of this prospectus and such terms and conditions in the Government Order are deemed to have been incorporated in this prospectus.
6. Service candidates should upload their application along with the service particulars with the remarks of the forwarding authority duly signed with seal and date as prescribed in the application form. The Online Applications of the Service candidates who have completed two years of continuous, regular service as on xx.xx.2023 excluding eligible leave alone will be considered. The Head of the Directorates have to issue a Certificate of completion of the required service.
13. Candidates must upload the following documents along with the application.

vi) Attempt Certificate in Final Year B.P.T., course.
vii) Nativity certificate (if applicable) with supportive Document.
viii)Copy of posting order (For service candidates).

Within the 30% reservation for Backward Classes 3.5% reservation will be provided for Muslims. And 16% of seats out of 18% Quota earmarked to Scheduled Caste shall be allocated to the Arunthathiyar Community.
50% of seats will be made available for service candidates and the other 50% of seats are for Open Quota to be filled on the basis of rank from Service and Non–Service candidates put together. In case of an odd number of vacancy, among the seats, that vacant seat shall be filled up by consideration of rank and communal reservation.
