The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE), established under Act No. XXV of 2002 by the State/UT Legislature, is responsible for conducting entrance examinations and managing the admission process for various professional courses in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. For the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course, BOPEE oversees the entrance test and counseling process, ensuring transparent and merit-based admissions. Through its structured procedures, BOPEE facilitates entry into the BPT program along with other courses like Medical, Engineering, B.Ed., Nursing, and Paramedical programs across recognized institutions in the region.
BPT Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course in Jammu & Kashmir, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects, securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the PCB group (45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories). The applicant must be at least 17 years old as of 31st December of the admission year and must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh, as per the domicile rules issued by the Government of J&K. Admission may be granted based on merit in the NEET-UG examination or through the entrance test conducted by J&K BOPEE, depending on the prevailing policy. Additionally, candidates must be medically fit and may be required to present a medical fitness certificate at the time of admission.
