If qualified candidates belonging to backward class of a particular group are not available, the leftover seats shall be adjusted for the candidates of next group. Local Candidates A candidate for admission shall be regarded as local candidate in relation to a local area: |

The applications of in-service candidates should be forwarded by the appointing authority. The in-service candidates are required to submit Service Certificate and No Objection Certificate in original from the Appointing Authority at the time of submission of application. The selection shall be based on the merit taking into consideration of the rank obtained in Telangana State EAMCET-2023. In case of tie, percentage of marks obtained in Intermediate or its equivalent examination shall be taken into account to decide the relative ranking. On further tie, age shall be taken into consideration, the candidate elder in age being given priority. |

Counselling Process: Candidates have to report for counselling in person on the specified date and time with all original certificates as prescribed at Annexure III. The candidates shall not be permitted to attend counselling without original certificates/custodian certificate. No proxy/representative is permitted under any circumstances into the counselling hall. They should sign in the attendance register within the stipulated time, failing which the candidate shall not be permitted to attend the counselling. Further he/she forfeits the right to admission and the seat shall be offered to the next candidate in the merit list. No request for postponing the date of counselling or appearance at an earlier date shall be entertained |
Counselling Fee: The candidates recommended for provisional admission are required to pay an amount of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only ) towards counselling fee immediately. This amount will be adjusted against the prescribed fee to be paid, with the remaining balance collected at the time of admission. The counselling fee will be refunded to the candidates who are found to be ‘medically unfit’ at the time of admission, after deducting medical examination fee of Rs.4,050/- (Rupees four thousand and fifty only). In case the candidate does not, for any reason, report for admission within the specified period, the counselling fee will be forfeited |
Income Certificate: Candidates belonging to SC/ST category with income of either parent/guardian being less than Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One lakh only) per annum, who are eligible for scholarship from the State Government, are not required to pay tuition fee at the time of admission. For in-service candidates who are pursuing studies and who cannot deposit the original certificates at the time of counselling have to bring Xerox copies of the original certificates/custodian certificate duly attested by the controlling authorities of the institution. They shall also produce a certificate from the institution that they have no objection to the candidate’s admission to the BPT course and in the event of selection of the candidate to the course he/she shall be relieved immediately. Admission Process : |
The selected candidates shall join the course by the prescribed date. In case the selected candidate does not report by the date, the next candidate in the order of merit will be selected in his/her place and no extension time will be entertained |
Candidates who are selected for admission have to submit the Original Certificates at the time of admission and undergo medical examination. After the medical fitness* is cleared, the prescribed fee has to be paid by the candidate. Failure to submit the required certificates or the payment of above fee shall render the candidate forfeit the seat and such seat shall be allotted to the next candidate in the merit list. The ‘medical fitness’ will be decided by the Medical Board appointed by the NIMS and the decision of the Board shall be final. This is treated as completion of the admission process |
Discontinuation of the Course If any candidate discontinues the course at any time or is relieved on his/her request for any reason, the fee paid will not be refunded. In addition, he/she shall have to pay a penalty as indicated below:

Disqualification - Any attempt on the part of the candidate to influence directly or indirectly during counselling / Admission by any means will be treated as disqualification |
All the candidates joining the course shall execute a bond in the prescribed form on a non-judicial stamped paper of Rs.100/-value along with two sureties(parents/Guardian) to ensure completion of the prescribed period of course or in default to pay the bond amount and shall also have to refund the amount if any received as stipend up to that date to NIMS. The format of the bond to be executed may be seen in Annexure II. The candidates who discontinue the course under this clause shall not be considered for any other course on the basis of merit during the same academic year. The course imparted prior to discontinuation shall not be counted for any other purposes. In the case of in-service candidates they have to execute a bond to satisfy the study leave rules of NIMS. |
In all matters relating to selections and admissions, the decision of the Institute shall be final and binding on the candidates and selection cannot be questioned after admissions are closed |

After Admission |

Filling of vacant seats - The admission stands closed by the date announced and the courses shall commence from the notified date. Due to unforeseen reasons if a seat falls vacant within the period of closure of admissions, the candidate next in order of merit as per rules will be considered for admission. Prior Qualification required
Candidate holding a Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized University and completed/shall be completing 6 months internship by 30-09-2022 in India or a Foreign University with at least 10+2+4 years of educational pattern and a minimum of 6 months internship. Deadline for completion of internship is 30th September, 2022. |
The candidates who have already registered for any degree or studying regular course and applying for admission to another course in NIMS, shall resign such training course in the Institute duly fulfilling the conditions of the bond and failure to do so, their applications for admission to the other course will be rejected. |
Age

The Non local candidates are eligible for 15% unreserved seats only. The local candidates of Telangana State are also eligible for 15% unreserved seats along with 85% seats reserved for local area. |

Specialty MCQs in musculoskeletal, cardiovascular &Pulmonary and Neurosciences (approximately 50%) related to basic and clinical sciences, biomechanics, physiotherapy techniques, critical care and rehabilitation |
General MCQs (approximately 50%) in general clinical sciences (general medicine, general surgery, paediatric, obstetrics and gynaecology, electrotherapy, exercise therapy, first-aid, resuscitations, social & preventive medicine, radiology, sociology and psychology). |
The selection shall be by an entrance test for 60 marks consisting 60 multiple-choice questions covering the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course to be answered in 60 minutes |
The syllabus for entrance test shall be that of BPT standard of the Universities of Telangana |
The entrance test shall be conducted at the venue and date and time specified by the institute |
Hall Tickets needs to be downloaded from NIMS website while login with registration number and password on the notified date. The NIMS is not responsible for non-obtaining web based Hall Ticket and no correspondence in any other manner will be made in this matter. |
Candidates appearing for entrance test/counselling, NIMS will not be paid any travelling allowance |
Candidates indulging in malpractice during the entrance examination will be disqualified and their hall tickets shall be confiscated. The marks of such candidates will not be displayed. |
The qualifying marks to be eligible for admission are 50%. In the case of SC, ST candidates the minimum qualifying marks at the entrance test shall be 40%. |
All requests for re-counting have to be made within the stipulated time along with the copy of the hall-ticket and payment of Rs.1, 500/- (Rupees one thousand and five hundred only) by paying cash in the NIMS Cash Counter in person. The selection shall be based on the merit in the entrance examination. The statutory reservation rules as prescribed and the distribution of seats among un-reserved and local candidates as per the provisions made in GOP No.646 dated 10th July, 1979 will be followed during counselling.. |
Counselling Process: Candidates have to report for counselling in person along with all original certificates as mentioned at Annexure IV and they should sign in the attendance register with in the stipulated time failing which he/she shall not be permitted to attend counselling and forfeits the right to admission and the seat shall be offered to the next candidate in the merit list. No request for postponing the date of counselling or request to appear at an earlier date shall be entertained. In case, a candidate fails to report for counselling at the date and time specified, he/she forfeits the right to admission and the seat shall be offered to the next candidate in the merit list. |
Counselling Fee: The candidates recommended for provisional admission are required to pay an amount of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only)towards counselling fee immediately. This amount will be adjusted against the fee to be paid along with the balance of the annual fee to be collected at the time of admission. The counselling fee will be refunded to the candidates who are medically unfit at the time of admission after deducting the medical examination fee of Rs.3500/-. In case the candidate does not, for any reason, report for admission before the specified date he/she will forfeit the seat and counselling fee and such seat shall be offered to the next candidate in the merit list. For in-service candidates who are pursuing studies and who cannot deposit the original certificates at the time of counselling/admission have to bring Xerox copies of the original certificates duly attested by the controlling authorities of the institutions where they are working or studying. They shall also produce a certificate from the institution that they have no objection to the candidate’s admission to the Master of Physiotherapy course and in the event of selection of the candidate to the course he/she shall be relieved immediately. Failure to submit the original certificates shall render the candidate ineligible for admission. |
Admission All those candidates who are selected for provisional admission have to submit the original certificates on the date of admission and undergo medical examination. After medical fitness is cleared, the remaining annual fee has to be paid by the candidate and shall execute a bond as per the format prescribed at annexure II. Failure to submit the required certificates, bond or pay the fee shall render the candidate forfeit the seat and such seat shall be allotted to the next candidate in the merit list. |
All the candidates joining the course shall execute a bond for an amount ofRs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) at the time of admission on a non-judicial stamped paper of Rs.100/- value along with two sureties (Parents/Guardian) to ensure completion of the prescribed period of course or in default to pay the bond amount and shall also have to refund the amount if any received as stipend up to that date to NIMS. The format of the bond to be executed may be seen at Annexure II. |

Discontinuation of the course Candidates are permitted to discontinue the course under the following conditions. Bond conditions shall not apply in this case.
