Institute of Medical Sciences is approved by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education), and PCI (Pharmacy Council of India), New Delhi and affiliated to MAKAUT, WB(Maulana Abut Kalam Azad University of Technology), West Bengal for B. PHARM. Course and affiliated to WBSCT & VE & SD (West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education & Skill Development) for D. PHARM. Course.     Common Entrance Test for Undergraduate Courses JENPAS(UG)-2023

    WBJEEB will conductOMR based Common Entrance Test JENPAS(UG)-2023 for admission in various Colleges/ Institutes in the State of West Bengal for the academic session 2023-24 into the following Undergraduate Courses

    Eligibility criteria for appearing in JENPAS(UG)-2023

    1. The applicant must be a citizen of India.
    2. The applicant must be domicile of West Bengal.
    3. The applicant must have passed already OR must be appearing in 2023 in class 12 in (10+2)system only.
    4. The applicant’s age must be at least 17 (seventeen) years ason 31.12.2023
    5. The applicantshould have been born on or before31.12.2006.
      Eligibility criteria for admission
      a) Gender:
      1. Only Female candidates are eligible for admission in B.Sc. Nursingcourse in Govt.colleges under JENPAS(UG)-2023.
      2. Both Male & Female candidates are eligible for admission in B.Sc. Nursing course in Pvt. Colleges under JENPAS(UG)-2023.
      3. Both Male &Female candidates are eligible for admission in all other courses except B.Sc. Nursing in both Govt.and Pvt. Colleges under JENPAS(UG)-2023.Upper age limit.

    Document verification

    1. Admit cards, Rank cards are issued based on the information provided by the candidate. All verifications are done during and after counselling by the allotted Institute. Hence candidates cannot assume that the personal information shown in the admit card, rank card areapproved by the Board.
    2. If during document verification by the allotted Institute, it is found that any information given by the candidate is/are not correct or if the candidate is unable to produce certificate/ document/ proof valid as per the then applicable rules and as on the date of its verification, his/her information will be corrected/modified accordingly which may even make him/her ineligible for some/all seats/course(s).
    3. Similarly, if at any stage during or after counselling it is found on scrutiny that the information/document(s) provided by the candidate is false/incorrect, his/her candidature is liable to be treated as cancelled even if he/she secured a MeritRank and/or a seat has been allotted to the candidate. Hence, securing a Rank does not constitute a right/guarantee in favour of a candidatefor his/her claimfor admission if he/she fails to comply with therequired criteria.

    Reservation of Seats for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD/EWS categoryof students

    1. Reservation policies will be accordingto the extant rules of Govt. of WB for admission in reserved seats for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD/EWS. Number of category wise reserved seats will be declared by the above Authorities before counseling.
    2. Such reservation shall be restricted to candidates who are Indian citizen and domiciled in West Bengal only.
    3. Candidates claiming reservation must submit relevant Certificate issued by the competent Authorities as given below.
    4. Certificates are to be produced for verification by the allotted Institute during counselling, admission etc. If at that time, it is found that any information given by the candidate is/are not corrector if the candidate is unable to produce certificate/ document/ proof valid as per the then applicable rules as on the date of its verification, his/her information will be corrected/modified accordingly and the candidate may be reconsidered in next round of counselling (if any). Any incorrect information/application will make him/her ineligible for all seats/course

Such reserve category seats shall be restricted to students domiciled in West Bengal only. However, the reserved seats in Centrally funded Institutions like the ‘National Institute of LocomotorDisability’ will be available to candidates domiciled in any state in India and the proportion and types of seats reserved in those institutes will be in accordance with the Govt. of India rules prevailing at the point of preparing the seat matrix.
    3. List of reservedseats will be announced by the concernedauthority before counseling.
    4. Candidates claiming reserved seats must submit relevant Certificate issued from any of the competent Authorities as enlisted in respective section(s).
    5. Certificates are to be produced for verification by the allotted Institute during counselling, admission etc. If at that time, it is found that any information furnished by the candidate is/are not correct or if the candidate is unable to produce certificate/ document/ proof valid as per the then applicable rules as on the date of its verification, his/her information will be corrected/modifiedaccordingly which may even make him/her ineligible for some/all seats/course(s) and the candidatemay be reconsidered in next round of counselling (if any).
    6. Candidates having OBC certificates issued before 31.12.2009 must have the certificate revalidated from the issuingauthority, with OBC-A / OBC-B classification clearlymentioned.
