PIONEER PHYSIOTHERAPY COLLEGE

Pioneer Physiotherapy College (PPC), established in 2008 and run by Om Gayatri Education and Charitable Trust, is affiliated with Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU) Godhra, and recognized by both the Government of Gujarat and the Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapy (GSCPT). The college offers a well-rounded infrastructure that supports academic, clinical, and personal development. It features air-conditioned classrooms with modern teaching aids, well-equipped laboratories for anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, and a library with around 500 books, journals, internet access, and e-resources. Clinical training is supported through an on-campus OPD at New Life Hospital, offering services in Orthopaedics, Neurology, Paediatrics, and Cardiopulmonary care, serving approximately 50 patients daily. The college has MOUs with nine hospitals across Vadodara, providing students with exposure to over 800 beds across multispeciality and superspeciality centers. Facilities also include a gymnasium, large playground, simulation rooms, computer labs, research and conference centers, and a spacious auditorium. Hostel accommodations offer 24-hour water and electricity, hot water, air conditioning, and a canteen, while the on-campus cafeteria and mess ensure access to hygienic and nutritious meals.

Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU) Conduct the Counselling for Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

For the academic session 2025–26, admissions to Physiotherapy and other state quota courses will be conducted by Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU). All updates and notifications regarding the admission process will be published on the university’s official website.

Note: Admissions to physiotherapy (BPT) courses are being brought under the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The Minister for Medical Education has announced that NEET will be made mandatory for BPT admissions across India from the academic year 2026-27

Eligibility Criteria for admission to BPT Course:

• Students who have completed grade 12th with a science major can apply for the BPT course.
• Candidates must have completed the science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as major subjects.
• To be admitted, students must have at least 50% or equivalent cumulative marks in grade 12th.
• Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU) Godhra conducts entrance exams to admit students into the BPT course. Candidates must ensure they pass the entrance exam.

How to Apply For BPT From Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU)

Admission to BPT is through the BPT application process conducted by Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU) Godhra. There is no common entrance exam for admission to BPT. The admission process is based on merit. The marks obtained by the candidate in the 10+2 final examination. Shri Govind Guru University Godhra accept admission on the basis of the Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU) Godhra own entrance exam.

• Financial Aid: Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU) Godhra offers scholarships and financial aid to meritorious students based on academic merit. Candidates who qualify for the scholarship will be given a scholarship ranging from 50% to 80%.
• SC/ST Scholarship: Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU) Godhra offers 100% scholarships to candidates from SC/ST category. Cut-Off BPT Course at Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU) Godhra

BPT cutoff determines the percentage of marks required for a student to be considered for admission into a BPT course. BPT course cutoff is the merit grade in the BPT admission process for students to get admission into various medical colleges in India. Moreover, it is the main criterion for granting admission to BPT courses in India. BPT cutoff is based on the number of students appearing for the entrance exam, previous year cutoffs, and question papers. Graduates of BPT course can choose to continue further studies after graduation.

B. Management Seats-

The Consortium shall issue an advertisement in two English and two Gujarati prominent newspapers widely circulated in the state, invite applications from the eligible candidates on the management seats. The Consortium by advertisement, shall notify the date of issue of application forms. Centers from where the application forms may be obtained and to which to be submitted, the last date for submission of application forms, details of fees to be paid, eligibility criteria, and the number of seats available for admission on the management seats. All the management seats shall be filled in by the Consortium under supervision of the Admission Committee by a single-window system based on an inter-se merit list of the candidates to be admitted against the management seats and whose name appears in the merit list prepared by the Admission Committee.

ADMISSION TO M.P.T. (Master of Physiotherapy) DEGREE COURSE AT THE PHYSIOTHERAPY COLLEGES AFFILIATED TO THE Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU)

Eligibility Criteria for admission to MPT Course:

Every candidate for admission to the course for the degree of Master of Physiotherapy (specialty) should have passed the Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy full time program of the Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU) or an equivalent degree of any other University recognized as equivalent thereto with not less than 50% of marks.

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

Selection criteria for admission as per the norms adopted for post graduate selection in Physiotherapy, by Post-graduation Admission Committee, Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU), Godhra, from time to time.

Online Registration

• No candidate shall be admitted into the Master of Physiotherapy course unless the candidate has obtained the eligibility certificate issued by Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU), Godhra. The candidates have to make an application to the university with the relevant documents along with the prescribed fees.
• Candidates should obtain the Provisional eligibility certificate at the earliest by Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU), Godhra, latest as per notification by the University, else the registration may be canceled.

The candidate has to make the application to the university with the following documents along with the prescribed fee.

1. Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T) provisional / degree certificate issued by the respective university.
2. Marks Sheets of all the years of university examinations passed.
3. Completion of internship certificate.
