NOTE:- The candidates who are unable to access the online application can appear in person with parent or guardian, along with all the original certificates at any one of the facilitation centre available in the nearest Government Medical Colleges / Tamil Nadu Government Dental College and T.F.C.( Tamil Nadu Facilitation Centre) in each District ( where there are no Medical colleges yet) and utilize the facilities to access and apply online. |

NATIVITY: Candidates should be Natives of Tamil Nadu (The candidates, who claim their Nativity as Tamil Nadu should submit their nativity certificate issued by the competent Revenue authority of the Government of Tamil Nadu.)

Candidates who are Native of Tamil Nadu and who have studied 6TH standard to 12TH standard in schools of Tamil Nadu should also produce Nativity Certificate and Community Certificate issued by the competent authority. The Community Certificate of either one of the parent obtained from the competent Revenue Authority in Tamil Nadu should be enclosed to claim Communal Reservation. |
If candidates do not submit the above mentioned certificates and even if he/she had studied Standard 6th to 12th std completely in Tamil Nadu, the candidate will be considered under Open Category only. |
Other State candidates who are not native of Tamil Nadu but Studied 6th standard to 12th standard in Tamil Nadu will be considered under Open Category (OC) candidate and have to produce their Bonafide Certificate from school in which he/she studied from std 6th to 12th std |
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have passed in all the subjects of the qualifying Examination of the Higher Secondary Course conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other Equivalent Board in the following group of subjects with minimum eligible marks.

As per the Tamil Nadu Act No 3 of 2007, dt 05.03.2007 and G.O(Ms) No.77 HE(J2) Dept.dt:05.04.2007, the marks obtained by the students in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by various Boards or Authority shall be equated with the marks obtained by the students in the same subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by the State Board (Government of Tamil Nadu) by adopting the method of normalization. Under the method of normalization, the highest mark obtained by the students of various Boards in each subject will be equated to the highest mark obtained by the students of State Board in that subject and the relative marks obtained by other students in that subject will be determined accordingly.

If the highest marks secured by the student of State Board in Physics is 100 and the highest mark secured by a student of any other Board in the same subject is 90, both the highest marks will be considered to be equal to 100. If a student of the other Board secures 60 marks in Physics when the first mark in Physics in the same Board is 90, then 60 marks will be considered to be equal to 66.66 marks as arrived at below:- 100X60/90= 66.66% |
NOTE:- After normalization of marks in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by different Boards, the qualified students of different Boards will be merged into a common merit list. In case of candidates who have qualified from National Boards such as CBSE and ISCE, the highest marks obtained by the candidates at the National Level alone will be taken into consideration for normalization. |
CALCULATION OF MARKS:- Merit List will be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained by the eligible candidates in the prescribed subjects in the qualifying examinations reduced to the base of 200 marks. The marks obtained through different Boards will be taken into account after normalization

Pharmacy / B.ASLP/B.Optom courses only. |
Determination of Rank of Candidates obtaining equal marks in all Paramedical Courses (Inter-se Merit) |
In cases where two or more candidates obtain equal aggregate for 200, the rank of such candidates shall be determined on the basis of the following order namely:- i) Percentage in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together in Higher Secondary Course Examination. ii) Percentage in Chemistry in Higher Secondary Course examination. iii) Percentage in Physics in Higher Secondary Course examination. iv) Percentage in Fourth Optional subject in Higher Secondary Course Examination. v) Date of Birth – Weightage given to seniority in age. vi) Computerized Random number assigned. A higher value of random numbers will be taken into consideration. |
