Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), Dehradun will conduct counseling for Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)

For the academic session 2025–26, admissions to Physiotherapy and other state quota courses will be conducted by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), Dehradun. All updates and notifications regarding the admission process will be published on the university’s official website.

Note: Admissions to physiotherapy (BPT) courses are being brought under the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The Minister for Medical Education has announced that NEET will be made mandatory for BPT admissions across India from the academic year 2026-27

Eligibility Criteria for BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy):
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program through the Uttarakhand Paramedical Entrance Examination 2025 the candidate must be a citizen of India and must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2025. The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects. A minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying subjects is required. Candidates appearing in the 2025 board exams are also eligible to apply provisionally, subject to submission of their results during the counseling process. Candidates from both Uttarakhand and other states are eligible, provided they have qualified from a recognized board.

Important Instructions:-

1. The entire application process for the Uttarakhand Paramedical Entrance Exam–2025 will be conducted online. Candidates must carefully fill in all required information and location details. If any information is found to be incorrect or incomplete, the application will be rejected, and the responsibility will lie solely with the applicant. Under no circumstances will an application be returned or corrected.
2. Candidates are advised to accurately fill in their full name, mobile number, and email ID as per their official documents in the online application form. Along with the application, each candidate must upload a valid photo ID proof issued by a recognized authority, such as an Aadhaar card, Voter ID, PAN card, Bank passbook, Driving license, or a student identity card issued by their current educational institution. The uploaded photo ID must display a clear photograph of the applicant and should not be older than six months. This is mandatory for identity verification.
3. The application fee for the Uttarakhand Paramedical Entrance Exam–2025 is ₹2000 for General and Other Backward Class (Unreserved) candidates. For Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates belonging to the economically weaker sections, the fee is ₹1500. The application fee must be paid within the specified deadlines.
4. During counselling, candidates must submit valid documents such as educational certificates, caste certificates, and domicile certificates at the allotted center for verification. If any candidate wishes to make changes to the course, personal information, or examination center filled during online counselling, they can do so only during the designated correction period by paying a correction fee of ₹200 online. Each correction request will require a separate fee of ₹200. Corrections requested after the designated window or without payment will not be accepted, and no corrections will be entertained via email or telephone.
5. Once the application is submitted, no requests for changes in the selected category or sub-category will be accepted. Candidates are advised to keep a printed copy of the completed application form for future reference, along with the application number, which will be required for future communication.
6. During the examination, candidates must use a black or blue ballpoint pen provided by the university to fill the OMR Answer Sheet. They should reach the examination center at least 45 minutes before the exam begins. It is essential to fill the OMR Answer Sheet correctly and according to the given instructions, as improperly filled sheets will not be evaluated and no additional time will be provided for corrections.
7. No re-examination will be conducted under any circumstances. If any candidate is found indulging in unfair practices, misbehavior, or causing disturbances during the examination, their candidature will be cancelled immediately, and legal action may be taken if necessary.
8. If any information provided in the application form is found to be incorrect, the application will be cancelled immediately. Even if admission is granted based on incorrect information, it will be revoked. Candidates are advised to carefully check their eligibility before applying, as those who are ineligible but still appear for the exam will not be considered for admission.
9. Candidates who apply but are unable to appear for the examination for any reason will not be entitled to a refund of the examination fee, nor will they be given another opportunity to appear for the exam in the same year.
10. If any candidate is dissatisfied with the declared results and finds discrepancies in their marks or merit list ranking, they may apply for manual assessment within five days of result declaration by submitting their OMR answer sheet through the university website. For this, a non-refundable fee of ₹2000 must be paid online. Applications submitted after the deadline or via other modes will not be accepted. If the evaluation committee finds an error and revises the marks, the fee will be refunded. However, if the original marks are found to be correct, no refund will be given.

Counseling Related Information

For the Uttarakhand Paramedical Entrance Examination–2025 the list of government/private paramedical colleges, available courses, and the number of seats under the state quota will be decided by the Paramedical Council/Uttarakhand Government and will be made available at the time of counseling. Admission to all courses will be based on the merit of the Uttarakhand Paramedical Entrance Examination–2025 and the counseling process will be conducted by the state-level counseling board formed by the government.

• The university aims to conduct the entire counseling process online for the convenience of the candidates. All information related to counseling, its schedule, and other important details will be published only on the university website www.hnbumu.ac.in. No separate call letter or personal notification will be sent to any candidate.
• Candidates who qualify in the Uttarakhand Paramedical Entrance Examination–2025 will be allotted seats as per the prescribed rules, based on their merit and the choices filled by them during state-level counseling, which will be conducted by the counseling board constituted by the government.
• Only those candidates who qualify in the Uttarakhand Paramedical Entrance Examination–2025 will be eligible for admission to state quota seats. No candidate will have the right to claim admission to any seat merely based on qualification. The final admission will be subject to the eligibility criteria and reservation policies mentioned in the information bulletin of the Uttarakhand Paramedical Entrance Examination–2025 and the conditions prevailing at the time of counseling.
• The complete process for the various phases of counseling, reporting, rules and conditions, and the list of documents to be uploaded by the candidates will be made available on the website www.hnbumu.ac.in in the form of a detailed brochure.
• If a candidate, allotted a seat through the Uttarakhand Paramedical Entrance Examination–2025 is denied admission by the allotted institution without a valid reason, then the authority to cancel such admission will rest with the Uttarakhand Paramedical Entrance Examination–2025 Counseling Board/Uttarakhand Government.
• All counseling-related notifications will be published from time to time on the university's official website www.hnbumu.ac.in. Candidates are advised to regularly check the website for their benefit.
• Before or even after the declaration of results, the respective state government reserves the complete right to reduce, increase, or make any other changes in the number of seats (including reserved category seats) available in each course of the state’s institutions if necessary.
• The number of general and reserved seats available in various institutions, as well as their allocation to different categories of candidates, will be determined as per the reservation policy set by the state government. This information will be uploaded on the university’s website by the counseling board constituted by the government at the time of counseling.
• Details regarding institute-specific course fees, as well as other charges such as examination fees, hostel fees, etc., will be uploaded on the university's website at the time of counseling. In case of any dispute related to these matters, the decision of the Uttarakhand Government will be final and binding.
• After the completion of the counseling process, if a candidate is allotted a seat based on their merit and selected choices, and the candidate takes admission in the allotted institution, then no transfer to another institution will be permitted.
