ELIGIBILITY:- (As per the G.O.Rt.No.1095, HM & FW Dept., dated 02.09.2013)
The candidates should be citizens of India and should satisfy the local or non-local status in Telangana /Andhra Pradesh as laid down in Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of admissions) order, 1974 and the selection will be done as per the procedure laid down in the G.O.P.No.646, dated 10-07-1979 as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2), dated18-05-2009. |
The candidates have to apply online and upload the original certificates in response to the notification issued by KNRUHS. The merit rank notified after verification of uploaded certificates by KNR University of Health Sciences, shall be the basis for selection into BPT course into Competent Authority Quota seats. |
Candidates seeking admission into the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Course should have passed 2 years of Intermediate Examination (10 + 2 pattern) with Botany, Zoology, Physics, and Chemistry as optional, which shall include a practical test in each subject. |
Any other examination of (10 + 2 pattern) from recognized Board under AISSCE / CBSE/ ICSE / SSCE / HSCE / NIOS / TOSS of other equivalent Board with Biology, Physics and Chemistry recognized as equivalent by Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana state. |

A candidate for admission shall be regarded as a local candidate in relation to a local area. | |
If he/she has studied in educational institution or educational institutions in such local area for a period of not less than four consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case may be, first appeared in the Relevant Qualifying Examination. | |
Where during the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case may be, first appeared for Intermediate Examination, he/she has not studied in any educational institution, if has resided in the local area for a period of not less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of relevant examination in which he/she appeared, or as the case may be, first appeared then he/she becomes a local candidate. | |

NOTE: On-line application form without uploading mandatory Certificates, Passport size photo, without signature at declaration area, incomplete applications will be automatically rejected and will not be considered for determining the Merit position.. |
The Criteria for preparation of Merit list:
The total Percentage of Marks obtained in Botany, Zoology, Physics, and Chemistry or optional subjects in the qualifying examination is up to 2 decimal places. |
The candidates who qualify under compartmental system will be placed in the Merit List after the candidates who passed in a single attempt. |
In case of equality of marks, age shall be taken into consideration and the older candidates shall be given higher place in the merit list. |
In case of equality of marks and age, the aggregate percentage of marks in all subjects of qualifying examination up to 2 decimal places shall be considered. |
Intermediate or its equivalent examination marks will only be taken into consideration even in case of the candidates possessing higher qualification. |
PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:
Selection will be made by the Admission Committee appointed by Vice- Chancellor, KNR University of Health Sciences based on the web-options exercised by the candidates, merit rank and applicable reservations. |
Selections shall be made local area wise as per the procedure prescribed in Annexure-III of G.O.P.No.646, Education (W)Dept. dated 10-7- 1979, as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept., dated18-05-2009. |
Selected candidates will receive the allotment message on the registered mobile number after allotment of seat. Candidates are directed to check the website for allotment list after exercising web-options. |
Selected candidates have to download the allotment order on payment of University fee of Rs. 6,000/- (Rupees Six thousand only) besides payment gateway charges through payment gateway and report to the Principal of allotted college along with all Original Certificates and pay the tuition fee as notified by the Government at the college to complete the admission process. |
ADMISSION RULES
The letter of allotment for admission of selected candidate will have to be downloaded from website after payment of University fee by payment gateway. |
The candidate should submit the print-out of the filled-in Online application form, allotment order and original certificates along with (1) set of self attested copies to the Principal of allotted college at the time of joining for final verification by the Admission Committee constituted at each college. The Admission Committee is responsiblefor scrutiny of the original certificates submitted by the candidate. In case of any discrepancy, the provisional allotment order for admission will be cancelled. |
Selected candidates have to join the college within the specified date by submitting all Original Certificates, and pay the tuition fee as notified by the Government to complete the process of admission. If the candidate does not report within the specified time and complete the process as described before the admission will be automatically cancelled. |
Closure of admissions:
Admissions will be closed after the final round of counseling and as per the date notified by the University. Any vacancy after the date of closure of admissions shall not be filled. They will not be carried forward to the next year as per the directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. |
