St. John College of Physiotherapy, the department was started as a part of the Department of Orthopedics in 1998. It was later combined with the Department of PMR as part of the multidisciplinary team in 1999. It has been a long journey since then and at the end of 18 years, it was acknowledged as an autonomous department in December 2016. We have moved ahead by starting the Physiotherapy degree course in the year 2016, under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. And approved by the Indian Association of physiotherapists. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council, a Review Committee of the University Grants Commission, has recognized the excellence of St. John's Medical College and Hospital and accorded it with 5-star grading. It is one of the top colleges in Karnataka.
St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences (SJNAHS) is a self-financing private Institution. St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru established in 1963 by the CBCI with the aim of training healthcare personnel committed to serving the poor in the margins, was dedicated as a memorial of the XXXVIII International Eucharistic Congress held in Bombay in 1964 and named after St. John the Baptist, the Patron of Pope John XXIII, who was an ardent supporter of this initiative of the Catholic Church in India. The Government of Karnataka in its GO HFW 84 MMC 2020 Bangalore dated:31-08-2019, has authorized the Directorate of Medical Education to the selection of candidates through centralized online counseling by Karnataka Examination Authority for admission to B. Sc Nursing, BPT, B.P.O, and B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences courses for the seats in Government colleges and Government seats in private colleges.

For admission to Ist year B.P.T Course: Applicant should have passed II-PUC / 12th Standard (10+2) or equivalent examination individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and must have obtained not less than 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (35% in case of SC/ST & OBC applicants).
Seats will be reserved for the following categories to the extent it is specified by the Government.
Since the Applicant should upload their photographs in online application entry, the applicant should scan their passport size photograph (Snapped with Name & Date on the photograph) in .jpg format and make it available for uploading with the following specifications.
Width = 1.3 inches, Height = 1.6 inches, Resolution = 200 X 200 dpi and the file size should be less than 100kb.

After completion of entry of All the details candidates will receive an application ID and Password to their registered mobile phone number and to email address and also the same information will be displayed on the screen. |
Step 2: | Upload the scanned copy will be of a recent passport size color photograph, Signature, and Left Hand Thumb Impression in JPG / JPEG format separately. |
Step 3: | The candidates have to pay the requisite fee in the prescribed method. |
Step 4: | Take a printout of the application form on A-4 Size paper and a recent passport the same copy should be produced during document verification. |
In Government Order No. HFW 211 RGU 2016 dated:28/09/2016, the percentage of seat-sharing in the Private Nursing and Physiotherapy colleges in the State has been published with respect to Graduate Courses for the academic year 2018-2019, in the ratio of 20:80 as 20% for the Government Quota and 80% of Management Quota respectively.
