    Registration and Processing Fee:

    The Registration and Processing fee Rs.2500/- (Bank transaction charges extra) for OC & BC candidates and Rs.2000/- (Bank transaction charges extra) for SC/ST candidates shall be paid online through Debit card / Credit card or Net Banking.**REGULATIONS & PROSPECTUS FOR ADMISSION INTO B.P.T COURSE FOR 2022- 2023

    ELIGIBILITY:- (As per the G.O.Rt.No.1095, HM & FW Dept., dated 02.09.2013)

    The candidates should be citizens of India and should satisfy the local or non-local status in Telangana /Andhra Pradesh as laid down in Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of admissions) order, 1974 and the selection will be done as per the procedure laid down in the G.O.P.No.646, dated 10-07-1979 as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2), dated18-05-2009.
    The candidates have to apply online and upload the original certificates in response to the notification issued by KNRUHS. The merit rank notified after verification of uploaded certificates by KNR University of Health Sciences, shall be the basis for selection into BPT course into Competent Authority Quota seats.

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

    Candidates seeking admission into the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Course should have passed 2 years of Intermediate Examination (10 + 2 pattern) with Botany, Zoology, Physics, and Chemistry as optional, which shall include a practical test in each subject.
    Any other examination of (10 + 2 pattern) from recognized Board under AISSCE / CBSE/ ICSE / SSCE / HSCE / NIOS / TOSS of other equivalent Board with Biology, Physics and Chemistry recognized as equivalent by Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana state. 
    Intermediate (10+2) with Bridge course with Biology and Physical Science. 
    Pass in Intermediate Vocational (Physiotherapy). 
    Note:1. The Intermediate (TOSS) Candidates who have qualified in the year 2021 shall be treated as having minimum required percentage of marks at Intermediate level as prescribed by concerned authorities/Deemed to be Universities/other Private Universities recognized by UGC vide reference:G.O.Ms.No.17 Dated:29.10.2020 and G.O.Ms.No.19 Dated:29.06.2021
    Note:2. Candidates possessing qualification of the University / Board or an institution outside the State should produce a certificate of equivalence from the Board of Intermediate Education of Telangana, Hyderabad to the effect that the qualification possessed is equivalent to or higher than Intermediate examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education of Telangana of BPC group.
    Age:  Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December 2023.
    Note: Age shall be calculated on the basis of date of birth as indicated in the Secondary School Certificate examination or equivalent examination. 
    No request for relaxation of age of a candidate shall be entertained. Candidates born on or after 02-01-2007 are not eligible

    *33 1/3% of seats are guaranteed for women candidates in each category i.e., Open category, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Classes Group A, B, C, D, and E. This regulation of guarantee shall not be applicable if women candidates selected on merit in each category form 33 1/3% or more of the seats therein. When the number of women candidates falls short of this percentage, it would be made up by replacing the last selected male candidates with women candidates in that category.
    **Out of the available seats for admission by the KNR University of Health Sciences, 5% shall be reserved for the Persons with disabilities (PWD) in each category of OC, SC, ST, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, and BC-E as per Orders of Government of India
    If the candidates from Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes are not available these reserved seats shall be converted to open category seats and allotted on the basis of merit.
    If eligible candidates belonging to Backward Classes of a particular sub-group are not available, the left over seats can be allotted to the candidates of next sub- group ie., BC A to BC B to BC C to BC D to BC E.
    If eligible candidates of Backward Classes category are not available for the 29% seats reserved for them, the left over seats shall be converted to Open category seats and shall be allotted as open category seats on the basis of merit.
    Certification of Caste:
    Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Backward class candidates shall in support of their claim, have to furnish Permanent caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority of State Government.
    The social status of the candidates who have applied for the seats reserved for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes shall be scrutinized as per the rules notified by the concerned department officials of Government of Telangana.
    The decision of the verification officer deputed by the Director / Commissioner of BC Welfare, SC Welfare and ST Welfare from the Government of Telangana is final in all respects.
    Candidates from the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes belonging to Telangana State for castes which are notified as per the Telangana State Government orders will be considered against the reserved seats.
    RESERVATION FOR LOCAL CANDIDATES:
    85% of the seats in each shall be reserved for local candidates and 15% shall be un- reserved seats.
    Definition of Local Area
    The part of the state comprising the districts of Adilabad, Hyderabad, (including twin cities), Ranga Reddy, Khammam, Karimnagar, Medak, Mahaboobnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Warangal shall be regarded as the Osmania University Area or Local area for Telangana.
    The part of the State comprising the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam shall be regarded as Andhra University Area.
    The part of the State comprising the districts of Anantapur, Kurnool, Chittoor, Cuddapah and Nellore shall be regarded as Sri Venkateswara University Area.
    Definition of Local Candidates
    A candidate for admission shall be regarded as a local candidate in relation to a local area.
    If he/she has studied in educational institution or educational institutions in such local area for a period of not less than four consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case may be, first appeared in the Relevant Qualifying Examination.
    Where during the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case may be, first appeared for Intermediate Examination, he/she has not studied in any educational institution, if has resided in the local area for a period of not less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of relevant examination in which he/she appeared, or as the case may be, first appeared then he/she becomes a local candidate.
    Candidate for admission to the course who is not regarded as a local candidate above in relation to any local area shall.

    A) If he/she has studied in educational Institutions in the State for a period of not less than seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case may be, first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination be regarded as a local candidate in relation to.

    1. such local area where he/she has studied for the maximum period out of said period of seven years,
    2. where the periods of his/her study in two or more local areas are equal, such local area where he/she has studied last in such equal periods

    B) If, during the whole or any part of seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case may be first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination, he/she not studied in the educational institutions in any local area, but has resided in the State during the whole of the said period of seven years, be regarded as local candidate in relation to

    1. such local area where he/she has resided for the maximum period out of the said period of seven years,
    2. Where the periods of his/her residence in two or more local areas are equal such local area where he/she has resided last in such equal periods.
    The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply for admission to the 15% of unreserved seats.
    • Candidates who have resided in the State for a total period of ten years excluding periods of study outside the State or whose parents have resided in the State for a period of ten years excluding periods of employment outside the State. (Certificate to the effect from Revenue Official not below the rank of Mandal Revenue Officer from where the candidate is claiming eligibility should been closed.)
    • Candidates who are children of parents who are in the employment of this State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi public Institutions within the State. (Certificate from the Head of the Institution / Department should be enclosed)
    • Candidates who are spouses of those in the employment of the State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and Educational Institutions recognized by the Government, a University or other competent authority and similar other quasi Government Institutions within the State. (Certificate from the Head of the Institution / Department should been closed).

    MERIT LISTS:

    THE PROVISIONAL FINAL MERIT POSITION OF APPLIED CANDIDATES FOR COMPETENT AUTHORITY QUOTA SEATS SHALL BE NOTIFIED AFTER VERIFICATION OF UPLOADED CERTIFICATES.
    NOTE: On-line application form without uploading mandatory Certificates, Passport size photo, without signature at declaration area, incomplete applications will be automatically rejected and will not be considered for determining the Merit position..

    The Criteria for preparation of Merit list: 

    The total Percentage of Marks obtained in Botany, Zoology, Physics, and Chemistry or optional subjects in the qualifying examination is up to 2 decimal places.
    The candidates who qualify under compartmental system will be placed in the Merit List after the candidates who passed in a single attempt.
    In case of equality of marks, age shall be taken into consideration and the older candidates shall be given higher place in the merit list.
    In case of equality of marks and age, the aggregate percentage of marks in all subjects of qualifying examination up to 2 decimal places shall be considered.
    Intermediate or its equivalent examination marks will only be taken into consideration even in case of the candidates possessing higher qualification.

    PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:

    Selection will be made by the Admission Committee appointed by Vice- Chancellor, KNR University of Health Sciences based on the web-options exercised by the candidates, merit rank and applicable reservations.
    Selections shall be made local area wise as per the procedure prescribed in Annexure-III of G.O.P.No.646, Education (W)Dept. dated 10-7- 1979, as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept., dated18-05-2009.
    Selected candidates will receive the allotment message on the registered mobile number after allotment of seat. Candidates are directed to check the website for allotment list after exercising web-options.
    Selected candidates have to download the allotment order on payment of University fee of Rs. 6,000/- (Rupees Six thousand only) besides payment gateway charges through payment gateway and report to the Principal of allotted college along with all Original Certificates and pay the tuition fee as notified by the Government at the college to complete the admission process.

    ADMISSION RULES

    The letter of allotment for admission of selected candidate will have to be downloaded from website after payment of University fee by payment gateway.
    The candidate should submit the print-out of the filled-in Online application form, allotment order and original certificates along with (1) set of self attested copies to the Principal of allotted college at the time of joining for final verification by the Admission Committee constituted at each college. The Admission Committee is responsiblefor scrutiny of the original certificates submitted by the candidate. In case of any discrepancy, the provisional allotment order for admission will be cancelled.
    Selected candidates have to join the college within the specified date by submitting all Original Certificates, and pay the tuition fee as notified by the Government to complete the process of admission. If the candidate does not report within the specified time and complete the process as described before the admission will be automatically cancelled.

    Closure of admissions: 

    Admissions will be closed after the final round of counseling and as per the date notified by the University. Any vacancy after the date of closure of admissions shall not be filled. They will not be carried forward to the next year as per the directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.

    Candidates who have studied in the state of Telangana/A.P.

    If the candidate has studied in any educational institution, study / bonafide certificate from VI to Intermediate shall be uploaded.

    A candidate who has not studied in any school / institution, a residence certificate for that period only shall be uploaded.

    Candidates who have not studied in any school / college in the state of Telangana but resided in Telangana with private study in Telangana & seven years residence certificate mentioning the period of residence preceding the qualifying examination (6th to Inter) by the candidate claiming eligibility as a local by virtue of residence shall be uploaded

    Candidates who have studied in the institutions outside the state of Telangana have to submit 10 years residence certificate of the either of the parents issued by MRO to claim seats under unreserved category.
    Latest Permanent Caste Certificate in case of Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Backward Class Candidates issued by competent authority of state of Telangana.

    ELIGIBILITY

    Candidates who have passed BPT degree or equivalent Degree, and have completed internship on or before 31-10-2023 are eligible to apply subject to the fulfillment of the conditions stipulated in Regulations.
    NOTE: If a candidate is found to have furnished incorrect information or uploaded false certificates, the registration of such a candidate is liable to be cancelled. Further disciplinary action will be taken by the University against him/her.

    85% of the available seats shall be reserved in favour of local candidates. While determining 85% in favour of local candidates any fraction of seat shall be counted as one as per the Presidential Order issued in G.O.Ms.No.453, GA (SPF-B) Department, dt.03-07-1974.
    In the event of seats reserved for S.T. not being filled up, they will be allotted to the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and vice-versa.
    In the event of the candidates from the SC and ST are not being available, these seats shall be allotted to the candidates under open category.
    If qualified candidates belonging to Backward Class of particular sub group are not available, the leftover seats can be allotted for the candidates of next sub group by succession. If qualified candidates belonging to Backward Classes are not available to fill up the 29% seats reserved for them, the left over seats shall be treated as Open Category seats and shall be filled up accordingly.

    MERIT LISTS

    The Admissions Committee constituted by the University shall prepare a common Merit List on the basis of percentage of aggregate of total marks obtained in BPT from 1st year to final year. Provisional Final Merit list shall be displayed on University website http://knruhs.telangana.gov.in after verification of uploaded certificates.
    In case of equality of marks, age shall be taken into consideration and the older candidate shall be given higher place in the merit list.
    In case of equality of age, percentage of marks obtained by candidate in final year will be taken into consideration.

    ADMISSION RULES:

    All the candidates joining the Post Graduate degree courses should execute the bond on a stamped paper of Rs.100/- value as prescribed in Annexure-I. They should complete the said course and in the event of discontinuing from the course, the candidate has to pay a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One lakh only) in the form of DD to the Registrar, KNR University of Health Sciences, Warangal
    The original certificates submitted by the candidates shall not be returned to the candidates till they complete their courses of study.

    Equivalency fee : As per the University norms, it is hereby notified that the students who acquired their UG Degree at outside the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh shall pay Rs. 3000/- and who acquired their UG degree abroad shall pay Rs. 5000/- as equivalency verification fee while applying for admission to any PG courses as per the admission notification issued by KNRUHS Warangal.
