For the academic session 2025–26, admissions to Physiotherapy and other state quota courses will be conducted by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), Dehradun. All updates and notifications regarding the admission process will be published on the university’s official website.
Note: Admissions to physiotherapy (BPT) courses are being brought under the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The Minister for Medical Education has announced that NEET will be made mandatory for BPT admissions across India from the academic year 2026-27
Eligibility Criteria for BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy):
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program through the Uttarakhand Paramedical Entrance Examination 2025 the candidate must be a citizen of India and must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2025. The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects. A minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying subjects is required. Candidates appearing in the 2025 board exams are also eligible to apply provisionally, subject to submission of their results during the counseling process. Candidates from both Uttarakhand and other states are eligible, provided they have qualified from a recognized board.

Counseling Related Information
For the Uttarakhand Paramedical Entrance Examination–2025 the list of government/private paramedical colleges, available courses, and the number of seats under the state quota will be decided by the Paramedical Council/Uttarakhand Government and will be made available at the time of counseling. Admission to all courses will be based on the merit of the Uttarakhand Paramedical Entrance Examination–2025 and the counseling process will be conducted by the state-level counseling board formed by the government.
