Haldia Institute of Health Sciences was established in the year, 2003 by the Indian Centre for Advancement of Research and Education (ICARE); Haldia, keeping in mind the growing demand of the health care professionals and trained personnel in the ever increasing health care and health service sector. To provide quality healthcare service, there are various statutory bodies regulating education and training in various fields of health care services. Joint Entrance Test for Nursing, Paramedical & Allied Sciences – Under Graduate Courses JENPAS-UG-2022

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was established in 1962 by the Government of West Bengal in the exercise of the powers conferred under article 162 of the Constitution of India in pursuant to No. 828-Edn(T), dated 02.03.1962. Subsequently, the Board was recognized as a Statutory Body vide West Bengal Act XIV of 2014 and was authorized for conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) in respect to admission to various institutions in West Bengal imparting education in Medical, Engineering, and Technological courses. The Board is also empowered to conduct Common Entrance Examinations for admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Professional and Vocational Courses both in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate level.

The Examination: For the academic session of 2022-23, Examination JENPAS(UG)-2022 and counselling for admission in various Colleges/ Institutes in the State of West Bengal for the academic session 2022-23 into the following Undergraduate Courses.

  1. B.Sc. Nursing (Bachelor of Nursing)
  2. B.P.T. (Bachelor of Physiotherapy)
  3. B.M.L.T (Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology)
  4. B.Sc. CCT (B.Sc. in Critical Care Technology)
  5. B.Sc. OTT (B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology)
  6. B.Sc. PT (B.Sc. in Perfusion Technology)
  7. B.Sc. PA (B.Sc. in Physician Assistant)
  8. B.Sc. MM (B. Sc. In Medical Microbiology)
  9. B.H.A. (Bachelor in Hospital Administration)

Syllabus of Examination: The tests will be based on 11th and 12th standard syllabi of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education and other equivalent and recognised boards/councils.

Procedure for submission of application form, payment of Examination Fees, and downloading/printing of the Confirmation Page:

The application has to be made ONLINE only through the web- portal http://wbjeeb.nic.in.

Candidates need to have a working mobile number and an email ID. All future communications by the Board will be sent to this mobile number and an email ID only.

Admit Card:-

  • Admit cards will be generated on the notified date for the student to download and take a print. The candidate must carry a printed hard copy of the admit card to the examination center.
  • Candidates must ensure that the admit card is not mutilated/ distorted/ soiled even by accident. Candidates with such mutilated/ distorted/ soiled admit cards will not be allowed to appear in the examination

Evaluation and declaration of result:-

  1. WBJEEB does not publish any rank/score list.
  2. The result will be published in the form of a Rank Card, which will contain all relevant ranks and total scores. The Board never publishes a rank list.
  3. Candidates can view and download their rank cards by logging in with their passwords.
  4. Duplicate rank cards cannot be generated at any later stage after the completion of counseling and admission conducted by the Board. Hence candidates are advised to retain their rank cards carefully in a secured place for all future purposes.
  5. If a candidate needs a duplicate rank card even after completion of counseling and admission conducted by the Board, the same can be provided, but only till 60 days after the date of declaration of result.
  6. In order to get a duplicate rank card, the candidate must apply to the Board and pay a processing fee of Rs. 500/- by a bank draft in the name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” payable in Kolkata
  7. Ranks cards with scores will be issued to all candidates, who appeared in the examination. But all may not be awarded a rank and hence may not be eligible for counseling, for which a cut-off rank and/or a cut-off score will be decided by the board

Counseling/seat allotment and admission

  • A separate notification with details of counseling/seat allotment and admission will be published in www.wbjeeb.in and www.wbjeeb.nic.in in due course after the publication of the result.
  • Course-wise and institute-wise availability of seats as to be provided by the Competent Authorities will also be published before counseling and seat allotment
