ELIGIBILITY:- (As per the G.O.Rt.No.1095, HM & FW Dept., dated 02.09.2013)

The candidates should be citizens of India and should satisfy the local or non-local status in Telangana /Andhra Pradesh as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of admissions) order, 1974, and the selection will be done as per the procedure laid down in the G.O.P.No.646, dated 10-07-1979 as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2), dated 18-05-2009

The candidates have to apply online and upload the original certificates in response to a notification to be issued by KNRUHS. The merit rank notified after verification of uploaded certificates by KNR University of Health Sciences shall be the basis for selection into the BPT course into Competent Authority Quota seats.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates seeking admission into the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Course should have passed 2 years of Intermediate Examination (10 + 2 pattern) with Botany, Zoology, Physics, and Chemistry as optional, which shall include a practical test in each subject.

Or

Any other examination of (10 + 2 pattern) from recognized Board under AISSCE / CBSE/ ICSE / SSCE / HSCE / NIOS / TOSS of other equivalent Board with Biology, Physics and Chemistry recognized as equivalent by Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana state.

Or

Intermediate (10+2) with Bridge course with Biology and Physical Science.

Or

Pass in Intermediate Vocational (Physiotherapy).

Note:1. The Intermediate (TOSS) Candidates who have qualified in the year 2020 and July 2021 shall be treated as having the minimum required percentage of marks at the Intermediate level as prescribed by concerned authorities/Deemed to be Universities/other Private Universities recognized by UGC. vide reference: G.O.Ms.No.17 Dated:29.10.2020 and G.O.Ms.No.19 Dated:29.06.2021

Note:2. Candidates possessing qualifications of the University / Board or an institution outside the State should produce a certificate of equivalence from the Board of Intermediate Education of Telangana, Hyderabad to the effect that the qualification possessed is equivalent to or higher than the Intermediate examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education of Telangana of BPC group.

Age:

Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years

Note: Age shall be calculated on the basis of date of birth as indicated in the Secondary School Certificate examination or equivalent examination. No request for relaxation of age of a candidate shall be entertained. Candidates born on or after 02-01-2005 are not eligible

RESERVATION OF SEATS: Telangana BPT Admission 2022-23

The Criteria for preparation of Merit list:

1. The total Percentage of Marks obtained in Botany, Zoology, Physics, and Chemistry or optional subjects in the qualifying examination is up to 2 decimal places.
2. The candidates who qualify under the compartmental system will be placed on the Merit List after the candidates who passed in a single attempt.
3. In the case of Equality of marks, age shall be taken into consideration and the older candidates shall be given a higher place on the merit list.
4. In the case of Equality marks and age, the aggregate percentage of marks in all subjects of qualifying examination up to 2 decimal places shall be considered.
5. Science Marks in the Intermediate or its equivalent examination will only be taken into account even in the case of the candidates possessing higher qualifications.

PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:

• Selection will be made by the Selection Committee appointed by the Vice-Chancellor, KNR University of Health Sciences based on the web options given by the candidates and their merit.
• Selections shall be made as per the procedure prescribed in Annexure-III of G.O.P.No.646, Education (W)Dept. dated 10-7- 1979, as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept., dated 18-05-2009.
• The Selection Committee will allot a candidate seat to the College based on their web options and merit.
• Selected candidates will receive the allotment message on the registered mobile number after the allotment of the seat if allotted.
• Selected candidates have to download the allotment order on payment of the University fee of Rs. 6,000/- (Rupees Six thousand only) besides payment gateway charges through the payment gateway and report to the Principal of concerned college along with all Original Certificates and pay the tuition fee as notified by the Government of Telangana at the college to complete the admission process.

Closure of admissions: Admissions will be closed after the final round of counseling and as per the date notified by the University. Vacancies arising after the closure of admission shall not be filled.

4) Transfer Certificate from the Institution in which the candidate last studied.

5) Candidates who have studied in the state of Telangana/A.P.

(a) If the candidate has studied in any educational institution, a study / bonafide certificate from VI to Intermediate shall be submitted.

(b) A candidate who has studied in 2 or more institutions in Telangana / A.P., study / bonafide certificate from VI to Intermediate in those places shall be submitted.

(c) For A candidate who has not studied in any school/institution, a residence certificate for that period only shall be submitted.

(d) Candidates who have not studied in any school/college in the state of Telangana but resided in Telangana with private study in Telangana & seven years residence certificate mentioning the period of residence preceding the qualifying examination (6th to Inter) by the candidate claiming eligibility as a local by virtue of residence shall be submitted.

6) Candidates who have studied in the institutions outside the state of Telangana have to submit 10 years residence certificate of either of the parents issued by MRO to claim seats under the unreserved category.

7) Latest Permanent Caste Certificate in case of Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Backward Class Candidates issued by the competent authority of the state of Telangana.

Registration and Counseling Fee:-

The Registration and Counseling fee is Rs.5,000/- + Bank Charges for OC and BC Candidates to be paid online.

The Registration and Counseling fee is Rs.4,000/- + Bank charges for SC/candidates to be paid online.

Candidates who studied the BPT Courses outside the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are required to pay Rs.3000/- towards the Degree Equivalency Verification fee In addition to the Registration fee.

Tuition Fee: As notified by the Government of Telangana for the course.

CATEGORIZATION OF SEATS for MPT and BPT

As per G.O.Ms.NO.330, HM&FW (K1) Department, dt.11-11-2011, In respect of the Government colleges 100% of seats shall be Competent authority, will be filled by the University. In a Private Institution, Sixty percent (60%) of the total number of seats shall be filled as competent authority seats, and the remaining Forty percent (40%) seats shall be filled as management seats.
